PS: I LOVE YOU

“HAVOC”- that’s the word which has been in the headlines everywhere now. Isn’t it?

“Rain plays havoc in Karnataka!!” “Recession is continuing to play havoc in the market!!” “Terrorists create havoc in Mumbai!!”….. The list goes on and on…!

But the thing to be noticed is the use of the word “HAVOC” for all such miscreant or not so happy situations. Why can’t it be used to any happy circumstances??

I feel it can be used in a different way and let me use it to say;” The last one and half months have brought in havoc of changes in my life!!” Bemused is it!! Let me substantiate my mords then.

I would definitely love to share about that havoc creator in my life. It’s my fiancée- Latha. Though a simple and happy go lucky kind of girl, like any other, she holds a special place in my heart and has been the reason behind the significant changes in these one and half months. I knew her from past 12 yrs and though not any yash chopra kind of a decade long love story, both of us did find the ideal partners in one another and finally, with the blessings of our elders got engaged on 21st of June and soon will be tying the knot in December.
Yesterday, that is on Saturday the 18th of July, she was felicitated by her old school (which happens to be my old school too, where I had met her in my high school days), Anubhava Mantapa, for being an achiever and a successful M.Tech degree holder from IIT MUMBAI (yep, she is brainy and with too much filled in her brains, she often forgets normal routines!!!). It was a sight to behold. Just to give you a feel of that moment, imagine how it might be to see-Your girl being felicitated in front of a large gathering with you being amongst those crowds, hearing praises about her and joining hands to applaud her!! Sounds a moment of worth, right?! It was definitely a proud moment, with my dad, mom, sis, jeeju, her mom and relatives feeling high about her and feet off the ground..!!!
Life in these one and half months has been seemingly happy, with satisfying academic career, ever supportive parents, and innumerable friends and of course the havoc creator, my fiancée. I wish such a time to everyone as it is really a havoc time to have.
Ah ah, one more thing, my fiancée feels am too disciplined and socially correct kind of a guy behaving like a good good goody always. So just to prove her wrong, I need to say something to her where anyone in worldwide web can see- Hey Lathu, I Love You!

I just loved this e-mail, and thought of sharing it. Its really a food for thought story. Enjoy!!

The Ant works hard in the withering heat all summer building its house and laying up supplies for the winter.The Grasshopper thinks the Ant is a fool and laughs & dances & plays and summer away.

Come winter, the Ant is warm and well fed. The Grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.

The Ant has since migrated to the US and set up a multi-billion dollar company in Silicon Valley , 100s of Grasshoppers still die of starvation despite reservation somewhere in India ,

As a result of loosing lot of hard working Ants and feeding the grasshoppers, India is still a developing country.

ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ...!!

ಹಳೆಯದೊಂದು ಹಾಡು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗು ನೆನಪಿರುತ್ತೆ-" ಹಾವಿನ ದ್ವೇಷ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ವರುಷ, ನನ್ನ ದ್ವೇಷ ನೂರು ವರುಷ" ಅಂತ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಕಪ್ಪಾ ಇದು ಅಂದ್ರೆ, ದ್ವೇಷದ ವಿಷಯ ಅಂತಂದಾಗ ಅಷ್ಟೊಂದು long years ತನಕ ನೆನಪು ಇಟ್ಕೊಳ್ಳೋದು ಸಹಜ.Help ಮಾಡಿರೋ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನ , ಜನರನ್ನ ನೆನೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋದು ಕಡಿಮೇನೆ. ಅದು ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಈಗಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು students ಗಳೇ teachers ಗಳನ್ನ ನೆನಪಿಡೋದು ಕಷ್ಟ, ಅಂತಾದ್ರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ teacher ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಟುಡೆಂಟ್ ನ ನೆನಪಿಟ್ಟು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸಿದರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಸಂತೋಷ ಬೇರೆ ಇಲ್ಲ I guess.

ಅಂತ ಒಂದು situation ನನ್ನು ನಾನು witness ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಮೊನ್ನೆ. ನನ್ನ "ಅನುಭವ ಮಂಟಪ" ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಗೆಲ್ಲ ನಮ್ಮ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸರ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಂಡಿತ ನೆನಪಿರುತ್ತೆ.. ಅವ್ರು ನಮ್ಮ V.N sir, ನಮ್ಮ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾಸ್ತರ್ ವಾಸುದೇವ್ ನಾಡಿಗ್. ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ, ಜಸ್ಟ್ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷ ಮಾತ್ರ ಇದ್ದರು, ಆದ್ರೆ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ he left there behind an everlasting impression.ಬಹಳ ಜನ ಸರ್ ನನಗೆ partiality ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು ಅಂತ ಒಂದು feel. ಅದು ನಿಜ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದರು, i liked that feel though!!!

ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೆನಪು ಹೇಗೆ ಅಂದ್ರೆ, ನಾನು ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತೆ( ಅದು ಯಾರು ಅಂತ ಮುಂದಿನ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ) ಬಹಳ ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ(ಕಳೆದ ೧೨ ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನ ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ)ಅವರ contact ಗೆ try ಮಾಡ್ತಾ ಇದ್ವಿ. ಅದು ಹೇಗೋ ಮೊನ್ನೆಯ ದಿನ, ಅನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಟರ್ನೆಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಅವರ ನಂಬರ್ ಸಿಕ್ತು. ಅಳುಕಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಡಯಲ್ ಮಾಡಿ ನೋಡಿದ್ರೆ ಅವ್ರೆ ಫೋನ್ recieve ಮಾಡಿದ್ರು. ನಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆ ಮಾತಾಡಿ ಖುಷಿ ಪಟ್ಟರು. ನಮ್ಮಿಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಖುಷಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಸಂಗತಿ ಅಂದ್ರೆ, ಅವ್ರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು recognise ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು , ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ ಏನು ಬೇಕು?

ಸರ್ ನ ಸಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೀಟ್ ಮಾಡೋ ಯೋಚನೆ ಇದೆ. ಅವರನ್ನ ಭೇಟಿ ಆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತೀನಿ. ಅಂದಹಾಗೆ, ಸರ್ ಈಗ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬಳಿಯ ಚಿಂತಾಮಣಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಬಳಿ " ನವೋದಯ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ" ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. "ನಚಿಕೇತ" ಎಂಬ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಮಗ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ. ಸೊ, ಮತ್ತೆ ಬರೆಯುವವರೆಗೂ.......

"ತುಂಟಾ"ಟಗಳು ಭಾಗ-2

ನಾನು, ಇದರ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಬರೆಯುವಾಗ, ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದ ಹೆಸರು ಯಾವ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ "೨೦೦೧ರ ತುಂಟ"ರು ಅಂತ ಬಂತು ಅನ್ನೋದರ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಘಟನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡುತ್ತೀನಿ ಅಂತ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಪ್ರಸಂಗಗಳನ್ನ ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಡ್ತೀನಿ.
ಆ ಒಂದು ಮಾತು ಮರೆತಿದ್ದೆ. ಅದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ಹಿಂದಿನ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಓದಿದ ನನ್ನ ತಂಡದ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು, ನನ್ನ ಅಡ್ಡ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂಥ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರೆ. ಆದ ಕಾರಣ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿಬಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನನಗೆ ನನ್ನ ತಂಡದವರು "ಮಠಾಧೀಶ" ಅಂಥ ನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡಿರೋದುಂಟು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂಥಾ ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಾರಣ ಏನು ಇಲ್ಲ, ಹಾಗಂತ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಹೇಳೋಕ್ಕೊಗಲ್ಲ. ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗು ಮಠ ಹತ್ತಿಸೋ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವ ನಿಪುಣತೆ ಇತ್ತು ಅನ್ನೋ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಿಂದ. ಅದು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸುಳ್ಳು-ಎಷ್ಟು ನಿಜ ಅನ್ನೋದನ್ನ ಅವರುಗಳೇ ಹೇಳಬೇಕು!!!
"ಮೈಸೂರು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ", ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಹೆಸರು ಕೇಳಿದ್ರೆ ಎಲ್ಲ್ರೂ ಹೇಳೋ ಒಂದೇ ಮಾತು- ಬಹಳ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಸೇರೋರೆಲ್ಲ ಬುದ್ದಿವಂತ್ರು. ಹೌದು. ನಿಜ ಕೂಡಾ.ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬರೋ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವರವರ ಊರುಗಳ, ಅವರವರ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವರೆ.ಆದಕಾರಣ,ಈ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನ ನಾವು ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಕ್ಲಾಸ್ ರೂಮಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಗಿನ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿತ್ತು.
ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ಪಾದರ್ಪಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೊದಲ ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಏನಿದ್ದರೂ ಹೊಸ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ ಪರಿಚಯ, ಸೀನಿಯರ್ಸ್ಗ್ ಗಳ ರಾಗಿಂಗ್, ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರ ಪರ್ಯಟನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಕಳೆದುಹೊಯ್ತು. ಇದರ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತೀವರ್ಷದಂತೆ ಆ ವರ್ಷದ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಫೆಷ್ಟ್(ಹಬ್ಬ) ಶುರುವಾಯ್ತು. ಆ ಫೆಷ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವುಗಳೂ ಏನದರೂ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಅನ್ನೋ ಹಂಬಲ. ಆವಾಗ ಶುರುವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಈ ತಂಡಗಳನ್ನ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋ ವಿಚಾರ. ನಮ್ಮ ಬ್ಯಾಚಿನಿಂದ ಎರಡು ತಂಡಗಳು "ಸ್ಕಿಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮ್ಯಾಡ್ ಆಡ್ಸ್ " ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ವಿ.ಆದರೆ ಸ್ವಾರಸ್ಯಕರ ವಿಷಯ ಅಂದ್ರೆ, ಆ ಎರಡು ತಂಡಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ನಾನು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಒಂದು ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಈಗಿನ ತುಂಟ ತಂಡದ ಉಳಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.
ನಾನು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ ತಂಡ ಮ್ಯಾಡ್ ಆಡ್ಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡನೆ ಬಹುಮಾನ ಗಿಟ್ಟಿಸಿದರೆ, ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಇದ್ದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ತಂಡ- ಮ್ ಮ್ ಮ್, ತಮ್ಮ ಮೊಟ್ಟಮೊದಲ ಸ್ಟೇಜ್ ಷೋನಲ್ಲಿ "ಡಿಸ್-ಕ್ವಾಲಿಫೈ" ಆಗಿದ್ದರು. ಹಾಗಂತ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಫರ್ಫಾರಮೆನ್ಸ್ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂತಲ್ಲ, ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅಶ್ಲೀಲತೆ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ ಇತ್ತು ಅನ್ನೋ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ. ಆದರೆ, ಅವರು ಮಾಡಿದ ಆ ಸಾಹಸದಿಂದ ಸೀನಿಯರ್ಸ್-ಗಳ ಹಾಟ್ ಫೇವರೇಟ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದಂತು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವೇ ಸರಿ.
ಇದಾದ ನಂತರ ಸ್ಕಿಟ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಆ "ಡಿಸ್-ಕ್ವಾಲಿಫೈ" ಆದ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ ತಂಡ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಸ್ಕಿಟ್ ಮಾಡೋ ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಕೊಂಚ ವಿಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡೋ ಯೋಚನೆ ಹೊತ್ತು, ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಪ್ರಥಮ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಕಿಟ್ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅದನ್ನ ಸ್ಕಿಟ್ ಅನ್ನೋದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೂವಿ ಸ್ಫೂಫ್ ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ( ಅಂದರೆ ಒಂದು ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರದ ಕಥೆಯ ಎಳೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಆ ಕಥೆಗೆ ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಆಯಾಮಗಳನ್ನ, ಉಪಕಥೆಗಳನ್ನ ಸೇರಿಸಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಸ್ವಾರಸ್ಯಕರವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವುದು. ಆದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಟೇಜ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸುವ ಯವುದೇ ಕಲಾವಿದ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಧ್ವನಿಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ದೇಹ ಚಲನ ವಲನಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಬೇಕು). ಇಂತಹ ಕರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲ ಸೇರಿ "ಬಭ್ರುವಾಹನ" ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನ ಆಯ್ದು, ಅದನ್ನ "ಗಬ್ಬುವಾಹನ" ಅನ್ನೋ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ ಬಹಳ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು .
ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಆ ಒಂದು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಮುಕ್ತಕಂಠದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಶಂಶಿಸಿದರು.ಆ ಅರ್ಹತೆ ಅದಕ್ಕಿತ್ತು .ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣಗಾಲನ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಧ್ವನಿ, ಗಬ್ಬುವಾಹನಾಗಿ ಕಿಟ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅರ್ಜುನನಾಗಿ ಕೆ.ಪಿಯ ಅಭಿನಯ, ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ, ,ವಿನಯ್,ಗಿರಿ, ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಪಾತ್ರ ಪೋಷಣೆಗಳು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲ ಅಚ್ಚರಿಯ ಸಂತಸಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಚಿದು ಪಾತ್ರಧಾರಿಯಾಗಿರದಿದ್ದರು ಸ್ಕ್ರಿಪ್ಟ್ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ.ವಿಪರ್ಯಾಸ ಅಂದರೆ ಆ ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನಿನ್ನೂ ಸದಸ್ಯನಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಸ್ಕಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನೂ ಒಂದು ಪಾತ್ರವಾಗಬೇಕಿತ್ತು ಅನ್ನಿಸದೇ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
ಆದರೆ, ನನ್ನ ಅದೃಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ತಂಡದ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನ ಅವರ ತಂಡದೊಳಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸದಸ್ಯನಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಯಸಿದ್ದು. ಆ ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವ್ರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಒಡಾನಾಡಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮವನೊಬ್ಬನಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಯಸಿದರೇನೊ. ಏನೇ ಆದ್ರೂ, ಅವರ ಆ ನಡೆ ನನಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಖುಶಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಮಾತಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡವೇನೋ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ಥ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂತು, ಆದರೆ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಸರು ಇನ್ನಾ ಶೋಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸೀನಿಯರ್ಸ್-ಗಳ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಕಿಟ್ ತಂಡವಿತ್ತು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನ "ಕೂಳೆ ಡಾಕ್ಸ್"(ಕೂಳೆ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ಭಾಷೇಲಿ ಜಾಲಿಯಾಗಿರುವುದು ಎಂದರ್ಥ.ಡಾಕ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನೋದು ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್ಸ್-ಗೆ ಶಾರ್ಟ್ ಫಾರ್ಮ್) ಅಂತ ಕರೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳೊವ್ರು. ಅವರ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಕಿಟ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಹಾಸ್ಯ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ತರಹದ ಪ್ರಷ್ಣಾರ್ಥಕ ಪ್ರಸಂಗವಿತ್ತು- "ಕಾಲಿಲ್ಲದವನಿಗೆ "ಕುಂಟ" ಅಂತ ಕರೀತಾರೆ, ಕಾಲಿಲ್ಲದವನಿಗೆ ಕುಂಟ ಅಂತ ಕರೀತಾರೆ, ಆದರೆ, ಏನಿಲ್ಲದವನಿಗೆ "ತುಂಟ" ಅಂತ ಕರಿತಾರೆ???" ಹೌದು, ಆ ಸಾಲಿನ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲ ಈಗಾಗಲೆ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತೀರಾ. ಅದು ವಿಭಿನ್ನಾರ್ಥ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ, "ತುಂಟ" ಅನ್ನೋ ಪದ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನೇ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದ ಹೆಸರು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋ ಒಮ್ಮತಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದೆವು. ಇನ್ನು ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟ ವರ್ಷ ೨೦೦೧ನೆ ಇಸವಿಯದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಆ ಇಸವಿಯನ್ನ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದ ಹೆಸರಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆವು.
ಹೀಗೆ ಜನಿಸಿದ್ದೆ ನಮ್ಮ "೨೦೦೧ರ್ ತುಂಟ"ರು ತಂಡ. ಈ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಥೆ ನಿಮಗೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಖುಷಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದೇ ಹೌದಾದರೆ, ಇದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಸ್ವಾರಸ್ಯಕರ ಕಥೆಗಳನ್ನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಶಿಸಿ. ಸಧ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಮತ್ತೆ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ.

"ತುಂಟಾ"ಟಗಳು

ನಿನ್ನೆ ಟಿ.ವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಐ.ಪಿ.ಎಲ್ ಟೂರ್ನಮೆಂಟಿನ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂಬಯಿ ತಂಡಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಹಣಾಹಣಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರ ಗ್ಯಾಲರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಫಲಕ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬಿತ್ತು." ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆಗಿದ್ದೀವಿ"- ಈ ಫಲಕ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಓಂದು ರೀತಿಯ ಪುಳಕ. ಇದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಒಂದು ಅನುಭವವನ್ನ ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತ ಗೌತಮ್ ವಿಮಾನಯಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರದೇಶದ ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿದ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಮಾತುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಬಹುಶ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಮಹಿಮೆಯೇ ಆ ರೀತಿ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಭಾಷೆ ಕಲಿತರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತಾಡುವಾಗ ಅಥವ ಬರೆಯುವಾಗ ಏನೋ ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯ ಅನಂದ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಾಗ ನಿಜವಾದ ಭಾವನೆಗಳು ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಬಹುದು. ಅದೇ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ "ನಮ್ಮ ಕನ್ನಡ"ದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ನನ್ನ ಬರಹದ ಗುಚ್ಚ.

ನಾನು ಚಿಕ್ಕವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗಿನಿಂದ್ಲೂ ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟ ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀನಿ, ಪ್ರಥಮ ಭಾಷೆಯಾಗಿ ಓದಿದೇನೆ ಕೂಡ. ಆದ್ರೆ ಅಭಿಮಾನ ಅನ್ನೋದರ ನಿಜಾರ್ಥ ಬಹುಶಃ ತಿಳಿದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದು ಆಳಾವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇರೂರಿದ್ದು ನಾನು ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ವೈದ್ಯಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡೋ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ. ಈ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಎನಾದ್ರೂ ಬರೆಯಬೇಕು ಅನ್ನಿಸಿದಾಗ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲು ತೋಚಿದ ವಿಷಯ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ನನ್ನ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ದಿನಗಳು, ನೆನಪುಗಳೇನೊ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ದಿನಗಳದ್ದಾದರೂ ಖಂಡಿತವಗಿಯೂ ಓದಿನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಕ್ಲಾಸ್ ರೂಮಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಳೆದ ಮರೆಯಲಾಗದ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳು.
ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾಲೇಜಾಗಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಎಲ್ಲೇ ಆಗಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ತರಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋ ಅಂತ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ ಗುಂಪುಗಳನ್ನ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತೀವಿ. ಅಂಥ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಗ ಕೂಡ ಇತ್ತು ಹಾಗೂ ಈಗಲೂ ಇದೇ ಕೂಡ. ಆ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಗಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವುಗಳು ಕೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡ ಹೆಸರೇ- "೨೦೦೧ರ ತುಂಟ"ರು. ಹೆಸರು ಕೇಳಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ ಆಯ್ತೋ ಇಲ್ಲಾ ನಗು ಬಂತೋ??? ಆ ಹೆಸರು ನಮ್ಮ ಗುಂಪಿಗೆ ಬರೋದರ ಹಿಂದೆ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಸ್ವಾರಸ್ಯಕರ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆ ಕೂಡ ಇದೆ. ಆ ಹಿನ್ನಲೇನ ಹೆಳೋ ಮೊದಲು ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡವನ್ನ ಪರಿಚಯ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತೀನಿ. ಈ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು ಹತ್ತು ಜನ ಇದ್ದೀವಿ. ನನ್ನನ್ನ ಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಿ ಉಳಿದವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಅನಿಸಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ನಾ ಕಂಡಂತೆ ಅವರುಗಳಾ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೇಳಿಬಿಡುತ್ತೀನಿ. ಈ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ಮುಖತಃ ಹೇಳಲಾಗದ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನ ಹೇಳಬಹುದು ಕೂಡ.

1. ಕೆ.ಪಿ. ಪ್ರದೀಪ್- ಇವನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನ ಕರೆಯೋ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಇರೋರು ಬಹಳ ಕಡಿಮೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಈತ "ಕೆ.ಪಿ" ಎಂದೆ ಚಿರಪರಿಚಿತ. ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಹುಡುಗ ( ಅದೇನೋ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ, ಈ ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಹುಡುಗರನ್ನ ನೋಡಿದರೆನೆ ಗುರುತು ಹಿಡಿಯಬಹುದು. ಅವರ ಹಾವ-ಭಾವ, ಚಲನ-ವಲನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಅಚ್ಚನ್ನ ಕಾಣಬಹುದು). ಈತನನ್ನ ಮೊದಲು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅನ್ನಿಸೋದು; ಈತ ಯಾರ ಜೊತೆನಲ್ಲು ಬೆರೆಯೋದಿಲ್ಲವೇನೊ, ತುಂಬ ರಿಸರ್ವ್ಡ್ ತರ. ಆದರೆ ಬೆರೆತು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅನ್ನಿಸೋದು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತದ್ವಿರುದ್ದ. ನೋಡಲು ತುಂಬ ರಫ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಟಫ್ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿದರೂ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿತಭಾಷಿ.ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದ ಎಲ್ಲರಲ್ಲೂ ಇರೋ ಒಂದು ಭಾವನೆ ಅಂದರೆ ನನಗೂ ಮತ್ತೂ ಕೆ.ಪಿ ಗೂ ಅಷ್ಟಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದೋದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂತ. ಬಹುಶಃ ನಾನೂ ಕೂಡ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪುಷ್ಟಿ ಕೊಡೋ ಹಾಗೆ ವರ್ತಿಸುತಿದ್ದೆ ಕೂಡ. ಆದ್ರೆ ಇದುವರೆವಿಗು ನನ್ನ ಹಾಗು ಅವನ ಮಧ್ಯ ಯಾವುದೆ ಜಗಳ ಆಗಲಿ, ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನ ಒಬ್ಬರು ಜರಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಬೈದಿರುವುದಾಗಲಿ ಆಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ರೂ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಂದ ಆ ಭಾವನೇನ ತೆಗಿದು ಹಾಕಿಸೋಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಕೆ.ಪಿ ಗೆ ಹೇಳ್ಕೊಳ್ಳೋದಾದ್ರೆ ಅವನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಖಂಡಿತ ಒಂದು ರೀತಿ ಜಲಸಿ ಇತ್ತು. ಅದು ಯಾಕಂದ್ರೆ ಅವನಷ್ಟು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಮ್ಮ್ಯುನಿಕೇಶನ್ ಸ್ಕಿಲ್ಲ್ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂತ. ಲೇ ಕೆ. ಪಿ ಆ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಖಂಡಿತ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನ ಮೆಚ್ಚಲೇಬೇಕು. ಆ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ರೀತಿ ಆಗೋಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟ ಪಡುತ್ತೀನಿ.
2. ರಾಜಶೇಖರ್.ಜಿ.- ಅವನ ಅಪ್ಪ-ಅಮ್ಮ ಇಟ್ಟಿರೋ ಹೆಸರಿಗಿಂತ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದಿ ಪಡೆದ ಅವನ ಅಡ್ಡ ಹೆಸರೇ-"ಷಾ". ಆ ಹೆಸರು ಬರೋಕೆ ಕಾರಣಾನ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳೋಕ್ಕಾಗಲ್ಲ, ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ!! ಈತ ವಿಜಯನಗರದ ವೀರಪುತ್ರ. ಇವನೇನದ್ರೂ ವೈದ್ಯ ವೃತ್ತಿಗೆ ಬರಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಪ್ರಾಯಶಃ ಹೊಸಪೇಟೇಲಿ ಟೂರಿಸ್ಟ್ ಗೈಡ ಆಗಿ ಕೆಲ್ಸ ಮಾಡ್ತಿದ್ದನೊ ಏನೋ. ಯಾರಾದ್ರೂ ಇವನ ಜನ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ ಹೊಸಪೇಟೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜರಿದರೆ ಮುಗೀತು, ವಿಜಯನಗರದ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪಿತಸ್ಥರನ್ನದ್ರೂ ಕ್ಷಮಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ರೋ ಏನೋ, ಇವನ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೋ ಕನ್ನಡದ ನಿಂದನಾ ಪದಗಳು ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಘನಘೋರ. ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡ ಎನಾದ್ರೂ ಸ್ಟೇಜ್ ಪರ್ಫಾಮೆನ್ಸ್ ಕೊಡೋಕೆ ಹೆಸರು ನೊಂದಾಯಿಸಿ ಪರ್ಫಾಮ್ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂಲ ಕಾರಣ ಈ ಮಹಾಶಯ. ಕೊನೇ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈ ಎತ್ತೋದ್ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಪುಣ. ಲೇ ಎಲ್.ಕೆ.ಬಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇನ್ನ ಸಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಿಲ್ಲ ಇವನ ಹಾಗೆ ಜೀವನವನ್ನ ಖುಷಿಯಿಂದ ಜೀವಿಸಿ, ಕಷ್ಟ ಇದ್ದ್ರೂ ತೋರಿಸ್ಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಮುನ್ನುಗ್ಗೊ ಸ್ವಭಾವ ನನಗಿಷ್ಟ.
3. ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ ಕುಮಾರ್.ಎ.ಬಿ.- ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ರೋಗ ವೈದ್ಯ. ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಯಾರೇ ಆಗಲಿ ಏನದ್ರು ಕನ್ಫ್ಯೂಷನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರೆ, ಅಂತವರಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಮಾಡೋಕೆ ಹೊರಟಿರ‍ೋ ಕೆಲಸದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಒಲವು ಮೂಡಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಮೂಡನ್ನು ಸರಿ ಮಾಡೋದರಲ್ಲಿ ಎತ್ತಿದ ಕೈ. ಸಾಕ್ರೇಟಿಸ್ ಕೂಡ ಇಷ್ಟು ಫಿಲಾಸಫಿ ಹೇಳ್ತಿದ್ದನೋ ಏನೋ ನಾನಂತೂ ಕಂಡಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗೆಯ ಈ ಹುಡುಗ ಅವನನ್ನ ಮೀರಿಸೋದು ಖಂಡಿತ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಇವನನ್ನ ಅಭಿನವ "ಸಾಕ್ರೇಟಿಸ್"ಅಂತ ನಾಮಂಕಿತ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀವಿ. ನೋಡೋಕೆ ಸೋಂಬೇರಿ ಅಂತ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿದರೂ ಕೊಡ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕೆಲಸಗಾರ. ಯಾರಿಗೇ ಆದ್ರೂ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಡೋಕೆ ಹಿಂದೂಮುಂದೂ ನೋಡದಂತ ಹುಡುಗ. ಅವನ ಆ ಶಾಂತ ಸ್ವಭಾವ ನನಗೂ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಎರವಲು ಪಡೆಯೋ ಆಸೆ.
4. ಚಿದಾನಂದ.ವಿ.- ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀರೋಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಿರುದುಗಳು ಇರೋದು ನೋಡಿರ್ತೀವಿ. ಇಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದ "ರೈಸಿಂಗ್ ಸ್ಟಾರ್". ಆ ಬಿರುದು ನೀವಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳೋ ತರಹ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಯಾರಾದ್ರು ಯದ್ವಾ ತದ್ವಾ ಮಾತಾಡಿದ್ರೆ ಸಾಕು, ಈ ನಮ್ಮ ಹುಡುಗನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪ ನೆತ್ತಿಗೆ ಎರಿಬಿಡುತ್ತೆ. ಸೋ, ಬಹಳ ಬೇಗ ರೈಸ್ ಆಗೋದ್ರಿಂದ ಇವನು ರೈಸಿಂಗ್ ಸ್ಟಾರ್. ಈತ ಹಾಸನದ ಚೆಲುವ ಕೊಡ. ತುಂಬ ಮೃದು ಸ್ವಭಾವ, ಓದಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ನಿಷ್ಟೆ ಇರುವವ. ಈತನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿನ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ಏನಾದ್ರೂ ಹೀರೋ ಸುದೀಪಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ರೆ ಇವನ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನ ಆಟೋಗ್ರಾಫ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಮಾಡಬಹುದಿತ್ತು. ಲೇ ಚಿದು, ಏನೇ ಆದರೂ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ನಿನ್ನ ಜೊತೆ ಇದ್ದೀವಿ, ಧೈರ್ಯವಾಗಿರು.
5. ವಿನಯ್.ಎಸ್,ಆರ್.- ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂದೊಂದು ದಿನ ಈತ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಆದ್ರೂ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಏನಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದರೂ ಆಹಾರ ಖಾತೆ ಸಚಿವ ಅಂತೂ ಆಗೇ ಆಗ್ತಾನೆ. ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪನವರ ತವರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ರಾಜಕಾರಿಣಿ. ನಮ್ಮ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಿನ ಅನ್ನದಾತ. ಈತ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಮೆಸ್ಸ್ ಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಬಾರಿ ಪ್ರಿಫೆಕ್ಟ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದನೆ ಅಂತ ಅವ್ನಿಗೇನೇ ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಹತ್ತು ರೂಪಯಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಫಫ್ಸ್, ಒಂದು ಕೇಕ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಒಂದು ಟೀ ತರಿಸಿ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ರೂಪಾಯಿಯನ್ನ ಉಳಿಸುವ ಕಲೆ ಈತನಿಗೆ ಕರಗತ. ಜೀವನವನ್ನ ಹೇಗೆ ರೂಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಅನ್ನೊದನ್ನ ಇವನನ್ನ ನೋಡಿ ಕಲಿಯಬೇಕು. ಅಂದಹಾಗೆ, ಇವನ ಅಡ್ದಹೆಸರು "ಕಾಚಪ್ಪ". ಅದು ಯಾಕೆ ಬಂತು ಅಂತಾ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೇಳ್ತೇನೆ.
6. ಮಹೇಶ್ ಮೂರ್ತಿ.- ಹೆಸರೇ ಹೇಳೊ ಹಾಗೆ ಮೂರ್ತಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕದಾದರೂ , ಇವನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಕೀರ್ತಿವಂತ. ಅಂದಹಾಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಡ್ಡಾದಿಡ್ಡಿ ಕೆಲಸಗಳು. ಇವ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲು ಹೋದ್ರೂ ಡಿಫ್ರೇಂಟಾಗಿ ಮಾಡೋ ಚಟ. ಆದ್ರೆ ದುರಾದೄಷ್ಟ ಅವೆಲ್ಲ ಹೊಗೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೋಗ್ತಾವೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ "ಹೊಗೆ ಮೂರ್ತಿ" ಅಂತಾನೆ ಫೇಮಸ್. ಈತನ ಜನ್ಮಭೂಮಿ- ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ, ಅಕ್ಕಮಹಾದೆವಿಯ ಊರಾದ ಉಡುತಡಿಯ ಪಕ್ಕದ ತಡಗಣಿ. ಪೂರಾ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳದಿದ್ದರೆ ಇವನ ಕೊರೆತ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿಟ್ಟ ಬುತ್ತಿ. ಹೊಗೆಯ ಕಥೆಗಳನ್ನ ಖಂಡಿತ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
7. ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಕುಮಾರ್. ಎನ್- ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದ ಪುಟ್ಟಣ್ಣ "ಕಣಗಾಲ್". ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಈತ ಕಣಗಾಲಿನ ಊರಿನವನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಪಕ್ಕದೂರು ಅಷ್ಟೆ!! ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದ ಕ್ರಿಯಾತ್ಮಕ ತಲೆ. ನಾವು ಫರ್ಫಾಮ್ ಮಾಡಿದ ಭಕ್ತ ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದ ಮೂವಿ ಸ್ಫೂಫ್ ನ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಧ್ವನಿ. ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯು ಕಂಚಿನ ಕಂಟದ ಹುಡುಗ. ಆದರೆ ಈತನ ಹಿಂದಿ ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನ ಕೇಳಿದರೆ,ರ್ ರ್ ರ್ ರ್...ಬೇಡ ಬಿಡಿ. ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಇರಿಟ್ಟೇಟ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ರೂ ಕೂಡ ಎಲ್ಲರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳೊ ಸ್ವಭಾವ. ಆದ್ರೆ ಅಪ್ಪಟ ಸೋಂಭೇರಿ. ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳೋದರಲ್ಲಿ ಎತ್ತಿದ ಕೈ. ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಆತನೇ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡ ಆತನ ಲವ್ ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.
8. ಗಿರೀಶ್.ಎಂ.ಟಿ- ನನ್ನ ರೂಂ ಮೇಟ್ ಕೂಡ. ಮಿಂಚಿನಂತ ವಾಲಿಬಾಲ್ ಆಟಗಾರ, ಅಥ್ಲೀಟ್, ರಸಿಕ, ಇನ್ನೊ ಏನೇನೋ..!!! ವಾಲಿಬಾಲ್ ಆಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಈತ ಹಾಕುವ ಗ್ಯಾಪ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಫೇಮಸ್. ಅದಕ್ಕೇ ಈತ "ಗ್ಯಾಪ್ ಗಿರಿಯಾ". ಮಳವಳ್ಳಿಯ ಮಳ್ಳ, ನಿದ್ದೆ ಬರದ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ರಾತ್ರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಜೊತೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಹುಡುಗ( ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ, ಏನೇನೋ ಯೊಚಿಸಬೆಡಿ). ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟನಲ್ಲಿ ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿರೊ ಸ್ಲೋ ಬಾಲನ್ನ್ ಈತ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದಾಗಿನಿಂದ ಬೌಲ್ ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲ. ಶೊಯೆಬ್ ಅಖ್ತರ್ ಸ್ಪೀಡನಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡಿ ಬಂದು ಹರ್ಭಜನನ ಸ್ಪೀಡನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೌಲ್ ಮಾಡೋ ಚಾತುರ್ಯ ಈತನದು.
9. ಪ್ರದೀಪ್.ಜಿ- ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಕಿಟಗಳ ಹೀರೋ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಕಿಟ್-ಗಳನ್ನ ಗೆಲ್ಲಿಸೋದರಲ್ಲಿ ಇವನ ಪಾತ್ರ ಕೂಡ ಅಪರಿಮಿತ. ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದಿಂದ ಅರ್ಧದಲ್ಲೆ ಬೇರ್ಪಡೆಯಾದವ. ಯಾಕೆ? ಹೇಗೆ? ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಬಹುಶಃ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.ನನ್ನ ಕಡೂರು ಊರಿನವನಾದ ಈತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದೇನೋ ಒಂದು ರೀತಿ ಅಭಿಮಾನ. ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡದಿಂದ ದೂರಾದರೂ ನಮ್ಮವನೇ ಆದ "ಕಿಟ್ಟಿ".

ಇವರೇ ನಮ್ಮ ೨೦೦೧ ತುಂಟರ ಜೊತೆಗಾರರು. ನಮ್ಮ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಹೆಸರು ಬರಲು ಕಾರಣವೇನು ಹಾಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ನಡುವೆ ನಡೆದ ಸ್ವಾರಸ್ಯಕರ ಘಟನೆಗಳನ್ನ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದಿನ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್-ಗಳ ತರುವಾಯ ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಡುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಮ್ಮಗಳ ನೆನಪುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಪಯಣ ಮಾಡಿಸೋ ಭರವಸೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗು ನೆನಪಿಡಿ- ನಾವು "೨೦೦೧ರ ತುಂಟ"ರು.

JAI HO MOSQUITO..!!!

It’s been doing the rounds in all the leading newspapers and electronic media of the world for quite a sometime now. And, not quietly too, it’s infact buzzing its way around!
Yes, there is a new kid on the block, from the mother science.
I am talking about E-MOSQUITO or ELECTRONIC MOSQUITO as the scientists have named it. Sounds a bit weird name is it? From the ages, we all have been questioning silently as to what is the purpose for the existence of a creature like mosquito on this planet Earth, right? Not more than a nuisance it has been; but here we may find some answer to its existence. May be to teach a lesson or two to us by its very nature of work habits. Not getting it, ha?
Let me go one step at a time. All we know about mosquito is that it bites and sucks the blood, isn’t it? Have any of us just wondered as to, whenever a mosquito bites, we never feel the pain until the mosquito has completed its job of bite and suck!!! Only after its job that it leaves an impression of its work with a tiny inflammatory edema at the site of bite (and that too is due to an allergic phenomenon). Astonishing is the fact that, though its pricks and sucks the blood, we never see a drop of the blood spilled out or smeared to the skin around the bite!!! It’s all due to mechanism of bite wherein it sucks the blood of the quantity of micro-liters and though it pierces the skin and blood vessel wall, it never disturbs the nerves around to evoke the pain as such. Moreover it also counter injects a chemical substance into us during the bite that keeps the blood in its fluid state and not to clot as such. Fascinating isn’t it?
Now let us a give a little bit of work to our brains here; what if we can utilize this mechanism of a mosquito, for drawing the blood for sampling. I mean whenever we visit any hospital for any ill health, it’s almost become a routine to draw the blood and send the sample for testing. Though many adults (more so girls, is it?) do find it fearful to get a needle prick for blood sample, it’s really painful for kids and elderly people for sure. If we follow the principle of the mosquito to draw the blood, then, it will be a revolution. Isn’t it? Yes, that is what Now, electrical engineers at the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary have been successful in doing.
They have patented a device called the Electronic Mosquito or e-Mosquito. “Electronic Mosquito”, it is a patch the size of a deck of cards that is fitted with four micro-needles. No, it does not look like a little robot mosquito. The “mosquito” part of its name is due to its ‘biting’ action. The four needles are programmed to bite sequentially at certain intervals. The needles are all electronically controlled to be able to go through the skin deep enough to get blood from a capillary, but shallow enough so that it doesn’t hit a nerve. The result is an almost painless extraction of blood. This has found wide application, as of now for glucose testing. Diabetes, being a global phenomenon now, requires frequent blood glucose level monitoring and also a meticulous control of insulin levels during the treatment. So it really serves the purpose to utilize E-Mosquito for this reason; unique, yet gets the job done as desired.
Getting into the technical aspect of the basis of this device, its a device known as MEMS- MICRO ELECTRO MECHANICAL SYSTEMS. The objective of this research is to implement a MEMS-based microactuator with an integrated microneedle that meets all the necessary design requirements for controlled, automated skin penetration, blood extraction, and subsequent microneedle removal.If the above data makes you let out a sigh of “wow”; wait, the technology does not stop with the extraction of blood. Aside from simply drawing blood, each cell in the e-Mosquito is equipped with sensors that have the ability to measure sugar levels in the blood. The data can then be transmitted wirelessly to a device such as a computer or a monitoring instrument. This works like an alarm system in any banks. Anyone trying to break into the safe locker would be sensed and the alarm would go on. And in no time the cops will be on their duty. Similarly E-Mosquito system can even be attached to an alarm that can alert the patient or health care professionals once sugar levels reach the danger zone. This is of prime importance in case of elderly patients, particularly those living alone and away from anyone’s care (even we have heard of stories where our granny or anyone going for a bath and suffering a hypoglycemic shock which may prove fatal). In such cases the complete track record of the diabetic patient wearing this E-Mosquito (it can be worn as wrist band or an adhesive tape) will be updated to his/her physician and alarming the physician to take necessary action at the danger times. WOW!!!
Life seems to be getting so much more technological, but no complaints. This is just a case where a creature, which was once considered a waste, has provided the scientists some taste for their quest of knowledge. Jai ho mosquito; mean to say E_MOSQUITO!!!
